Alex joined the lab in 2024 as a Ph.D. student in the Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology interdepartmental program. She received her B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University in 2020, with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. Before beginning her Ph.D., she worked as a Research Technician in Dr. Kevin Haigis’ lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she studied K-Ras mutants and their effects on signaling and colon pathology. In the Mitochondrial Metabolism and Bioenergetics Laboratory, she studies NAD+ metabolism in the Central Nervous System. In her spare time, she likes to try new workout classes, spend time with friends and family, and explore Los Angeles!
